staying safe on holiday
enjoy a stress-free stay in the austrian alps
We are keeping a close eye on developments and preparing for a safe and enjoyable winter season. The health and safety of both guests and staff is our number one priority here at the Gletscherblick Apartments.
Visitors to Obergurgl planning to stay with us this winter can rest assured that we are perfectly prepared. Right from the start we have followed all rules and recommendations by the health authorities to restrict the spread of the coronavirus – both to protect our guests and staff, but also to protect vulnerable groups in society who are exposed to an increased risk.
covid-safe conditions at the Gletscherblick Apartments
We have developed a comprehensive security concept to minimise the guests and staff at the Gletscherblick Apartments. This concept is kept under constant review and adapted whenever necessary to take into account the latest national and regional measures.
Valid 3G proof is required to enter our hotel.
- Weekly Covid-19 tests for members of staff
- Free tests available for guests (on request)
- Comprehensive safety concept in the apartments and in the ski resort
- Strict adherence to social distancing and hygiene measures

- All members of staff who have close contact with guests (2 metres or less) for an extended period of time (at least 15 minutes) – first and foremost memvers of staff working in the spa – wear face masks. Guests who book treatments in the spa are kindly asked to also wear a face mask.
- Cleaning staff wear face masks and gloves at all times.
- At the Gletscherblick Apartments hygiene has always been a priority, but in these exceptional times we have increased the frequency and intensity of our cleaning regime.
personal responsibility
In order to prevent the spread of Covid-19, we kindly ask you to stay at home if you have felt unwell at any point in the last ten days or experienced symptoms such as fever, coughing and cold-like symptoms. Members of staff at the Gletscherblick have also been instructed to follow these rules.

Members of staff working in the tourism and hospitality industry are regularly tested for Covid-19.
Even in normal years, Obergurgl-Hochgurgl is known for its minimal lift queues. The resort has relatively few day guests compared with other resorts, and even more than normal this year. On top of that, the resort has state-of-the-art lifts and comprehensive snowmaking. All this means it is easy to socially distance on the slopes. In fact, you will often have cable cars and gondolas all to yourself.
- Face masks must be worn on ski lifts, cable cars and gondolas.
- Neckstrips and buffs can be used instead of conventional face masks as long as they can be pulled up over the nose and mouth.
For the sake of everyone's safety, we ask all guests to observe the rules on social distancing in huts and mountain restaurants. Please cover your nose and mouth every time you leave your seat.
"Stay safe together" is the name of the game here at the Gletscherblick Apartments. We look forward to welvoming you!
