He lived 5,300 years ago and had no idea that he would later find fame. Ever since the ‘Iceman’ was discovered in 1991, he has been inextricably linked to the Ötztal. The 'Ötzidorf' museum in Umhausen provides an insight into the figure who is likely the oldest and best-known hiker in the Ötztal in an exciting and entertaining way.

An oasis of tranquillity ripe for exploration. The small village of Vent lies at the foot of the famous Wildspitze mountain in the quiet Venter Tal valley, at an altitude of 1,900 metres,. Only about 150 people live here. At this location off the beaten track, you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views and glimpses into the valley.
